I recently found out that May is National Small Business Month. The first thing I thought of was you, my support system and customer. You are what keeps me going and striving to bring quality hand knit items to bring comfort and joy to those who possess them. And for that, I say…
Thank you to my husband for his belief in me and assisting in helping to decide by surprising me with setting up the website and Etsy shop. His constant encouragement and challenging me to step outside my comfort zone have been invaluable. He handles many of the operations and logistics for the shop to allow me to be as creative as I can be. Immeasurably grateful. He is the best partner.
Thank you to my friends and family who kept telling me I should sell the items I make in the early days of getting back into knitting. Seeing the joy in their faces with each item gifted to them and/or the compliments extended to me on the items I’ve worn was extremely encouraging and confidence building. And for being the first and frequent customers. (My cousin who requested the hand knit plants claims to be my biggest fan.) And speaking of frequent customers…incredibly grateful for the repeat customers who continually show their excitement and support with their purchases.
There is so much gratitude within me for the many customer product reviews. My heart fills up and confidence builds.
So thankful for the social media shares and posts, as they spread the word to others about the shop and the products I provide. The times I fall into thinking I’m inadequate or not good enough to have this shop and provide this service, I remind myself of these posts and reviews. They are great tools to fend off imposter syndrome.
But saying “thank you” doesn’t seem to be enough to show my gratitude. I am humbled by the love you’ve shown me. From the bottom of my heart – Thank you!
